Fair Lifts recently completed a complex heavy lift operation for a warehouse located in Moreno Valley, CA. This project involved multiple stages and required meticulous planning and execution. Our team successfully lifted and positioned rooftop air rotation units (ARUs) along with other equipment, while strategically managing the project to avoid a costly road closure that would have been necessary with a conventional crane.
The lifting operation comprised four ARUs, each weighing 4,847 pounds, three exhaust hoods weighing 250 pounds each, and six intake hoods weighing 400 pounds each. The rooftop was over 400 feet wide and 800 feet long, making this a project that would take a 300 ton crane a week or more. Remarkably, the entire lifting process was completed by helicopter within an impressive timeframe of under an hour.
