On January 5, 2021, Kaman Air Vehicles disclosed that the Kaman K-1200 K-MAX helicopter had gotten the Type Certificate from the Agencia Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC), also known as the National Civil Aviation Agency. The latter was formed in 2005, and its main role is to regulate civil aviation operations in Brazil. It enhances the delivery of services in the industry and promotes air safety in the country.

The K-MAX helicopter is a rugged rotorcraft. Maintaining it is pretty effortless. These are some of the reasons experts deem it super convenient for use in a variety of operations all over Brazil. Other amazing features of the K-MAX helicopter include its counter-rotating rotor system and capability to carry as much as 6,000 pounds. Additionally, the helicopter’s performance is great and unaffected by how high the pilot flies or extremely hot conditions.

Professionals in the industry are delighted that the Kaman K-1200 K-MAX helicopter has finally attained the Type Certificate. Darlene Smith, the vice president of the Kaman Air Vehicles (a Kaman Corporation’s division) revealed that they are pleased by the achievement. It means that the aircraft can be used in different activities in Brazil and that Kaman’s efforts have not been in vain. The organization has been advertising the K-MAX for two years now, reaching out to Brazilian engineering, gas, oil, and power line companies.

Undoubtedly, this certification is a huge win that will allow Kaman Corporation to achieve more success. The company, which was established by Charles H. Kaman, a prominent aviation expert, has its headquarters in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Its operations are mainly in the industrial, aerospace, and defense as well as the medical industry. Over its more than seven decades of operation, it has achieved some significant breakthroughs to help solve problems in various fields.
