The History of the New Hampshire Motor Speedway
The New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, New Hampshire, opened in June 1990, following the Bahre family's purchase of the Bryar Motorsports Park. The road circuit was redesigned into a multi-purpose track, with NASCAR joining the popular Loudon Classic motorcycle, WKA go-kart and SCCA races at the site. It is the largest sports and entertainment venue of any type in New England. Loudon was awarded a spot on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule in 1993. Rusty Wallace won the Slick 50 300 that year.
